Stayed as a guest in the Premier Inn next door and booked the two course meal and breakfast deal. Had the mushrooms and a fish pie for dinner. The pie was so cheesy, it was delicious! Was the first one in for breakfast on a Sunday morning as I had to rush off. Breakfast was all prepared ready to help myself. Lovely food and very friendly staff.

Been a while since our last family visit, as was a favourite place to come for family birthday 🎂 days.Came for my daughters 18th bit late in the evening but looking forward to a nice family dinner. Menu options weren't too bad good selection all round . Didn't have to wait too long for food. Wasn't what we remembered, few issues but nothing major, might try something else next time. Only issue was really sticky and heard other dinners saying the same thing . Found the staff abit laid back aswell.

Booked an afternoon tea for me and my husband, couldn't fault the service. It was amazing and we were made to feel really special. Staff couldn't do enough for us, I would definitely recommend Kat and her team were amazing a real credit Brewers fayre!! Thank you do much

Cheap food and poor service here. Had dinner as part of the meal deal package while staying at the premier inn. We felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff and everything seemed like hard work. The staff bringing the food out were the exception and actually seemed to want to be there.Food was mediocre, at best. I had a smothered platter and the cheese “smothering” it was just a square of processed cheese melted on top. Desserts were ok.Probably better to go to the McDonald’s over the road.

Love their weekday lunch. Two mains for £8.99. Good deals with a lot of choices.I order curry rice almost every time while my friend will have fish and chips. Big portions tho’ cheap prices.

We went along on a Sunday lunchtime. The carvery was fine, though it was the same price for a meat free plate as it was for a meat dinner which I think is a bit much. Our little one ordered macaroni cheese from the children's menu and it was hard pasta and lots of 'hidden' veg which wasn't very hidden - bits of pepper skin, large chunks of broccoli etc, not what he was expecting - he likes broccoli but on the side and he definitely doesn't like peppers which put him off the whole meal. We asked to be seated by the soft play which meant my husband and I could enjoy a meal and our toddler could have fun too. The rest of the pub was much quieter which was great for child free visitors. Our server, April, was great - we've had her before and her service is always professional and friendly. Thanks April 😁

Great experience, good value, and exactly what I expect from a pub breakfast.Staff were very helpful with our breakfast buffet, and cooked additional veggie options to accommodate for my partner.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Food was tasty and hot. Service was quick and friendly. It really was outstanding for the price. What let the restaurant down was the car park. Whilst I appreciate that the guest car which had parked in the loading bay meaning the laundry lorry completely blocking access to the disabled bays (and making access to the rest of the car park awkward) was not the fault of the restaurant or Premier Inn, the amount of litter in the car park is. Discarded dog poo bags, half empty drink bottles, fast food wrappers that all looked as though they had been there sometime is not a pleasant welcome

Stayed at the hotel overnight and decided to eat here instead of driving into Hastings and we were not disappointed. The food was great with big portions. Our server April was friendly, polite and helpful. £53 for 2 people 3 courses and a bottle of wine using my wife's blue light card discount. Well done 👍🏻

A Memorable Meal at The Windmill: Great Food and Super Friendly StaffLast Sunday, my boyfriend insisted that we invite my ex-husband to join us for a family meal at The Windmill. Though I wasn't thrilled, I agreed, hoping the food and friendly staff would ease the tension. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and quickly seated us by the window, keeping the kids entertained with the view. My ex-husband, who has let himself go and sometimes sleeps on the streets, predictably didn’t offer to contribute when the bill came, leaving me to cover the cost. It was shameful, but the wonderful service and atmosphere made up for it.The friendly staff regularly checked in, making the dining experience enjoyable despite the company. When the bill came, my ex-husband didn’t even offer to pay for his meal, leaving me to cover the cost. It was shameful, but the wonderful service and atmosphere made up for it.The kids were thrilled with their complimentary ice cream, a perfect end to the meal. The Windmill offers great food and a welcoming atmosphere. We left happy and full, already planning our next visit. If you're in Hastings, The Windmill is a must-visit – even with less-than-ideal company.

We were here for breakfast and wow, it was very busy. We sat observing while listening to customers complaining to each other regarding, food slow to come out, glasses and plates running out, state of tables left uncleared etc etc. To be fair we only saw one girl clearing tables....however she was extremely slow and enjoyed standing talking to people and kept going in and out the kitchen with nothing and popping behind the bar, appears anything other than clearing tables for customers. One young guy didn't catch his name but we take our hat off to him as he was everywhere, filling drinks, getting, glasses etc customers what they required. Never stopped, he deserves a medal, took the complaining from various customers. Kept his cool, clearly an asset to the company. Hope they see how hard he works.

Barely any of the carvery meat left and we had a big booking of 10+.. all the vegetables were over cooked, the potatoes seemed aunt bessy and deep fried. But the worst thing, upon arriving I was shocked to hear how the manager was speaking to the staff. Who all seemed scared of her. I myself have worked hospitality for 18 years and it is never ever acceptable to make someone feel small, to speak to anybody in the way that she was. It made her staff feel uncomfortable and awkward when then having to communicate with us. The venue was really nice and the staff all very helpful, except the manager who in my view should never be allowed to be in charge of people.

Party of 6 including 3 children. Fabulous breakfast great service from Emma, Neil and Angie. Plentiful supply of good food kept topped up with freshly cooked items. Good range of items available. Vegetarian sausages cooked on request and brought to our table. Would definitely eat here again.

Had a lovely Easter Sunday Lunch here with my family. The carvery was delicious with lots of choice. All the staff we saw from when we were greeted, when we ordered and got our carvery meat to clearing the tables were very friendly and cheerful. The children loved the little hunt and the play area. The atmosphere was really nice and we felt very welcomed. Thank you again and I'm sure we will be back soon!

Stayed in the hotel next door for several night for work as a undertaker. Emma, Angie and Kirsty were amazing! From remembering my drink order, automatically booking my table when I would forget and just being happy to help. Couldn't recommend more for the staff alone! Food was brilliant. Will be booking again for future work trips.

Service as we entered and the bar staff were lovely! However, that is where, unfortunately, it all ends. Starters were okay-ish but whilst tucking into our starters our mains were coming out. Upon explaining we hadn't finished our starters as we had only received them a couple of minutes ago the waitress then walked around with them until we had finished the starters. The mains were cold & far from enjoyable. The atmosphere was okay.

It was the first time we had been back here for several years. With the softplay area, it used to be a regular haunt for us, but as the kids grew up they didn't didn't want to go to a baby place any more. Having matured some more, it was pleasant to return. The lunchtime 2 mains for £12 was good value. One minor point: the embedded table numbers had been removed leaving an unpleasant (maybe health risk) indentation in the table. (I didn't check all the tables but it wasn't just our table.) Was it beyond reasonable cost to install blanking plates?

We were more than pleasantly surprised when we dropped in for a meal. The manager and a waitress named April gave exceptional value for money. We will definitely drop in again.

Lovely and welcoming staff. Waitress April, (or should i say October)was very chatty and cheerful and as it was a rainy Monday morning (and Rainy days and Mondays always get you down!)was most appreciated. Food was good too as was the server

Took my daughter here for her birthday meal. My daughter couldn't even bite into the burger, my fish and chips wasn't cooked and there was no vinegar or sauces, my partners mixed grill had items missing and there were fruit flies everywhere it was gross. I was also overcharged on the children's meal and there was nobody available to complain to so we left. After getting home both myself and my daughter have been sick. Awful.
